Can You Support A Child To Design A Dinosaur?

This week a unique opportunity to support a young person from Hull, to enter the world of design by taking part in a project that will bring their ideas to life, has emerged for businesses and individuals in Hull.

dino1Design a Dinosaur‘ is an exciting programme being run by Creative Briefs exploring the design process, for a live project that will result in the creation of a brand new exhibit, for the Dinostar Museum in Hull. The project will feature the use of animatronic puppet technolology used on the BBC’s groundbreaking series ‘Walking With Dinosaurs’.

This sponsorship opportunity has come about, after the main project funders suddenly went into liquidation, just nine days before the project was due to start. Despite this setback the team at Creative Briefs are determined and committed, to seeing the project through to completion.

Creative Briefs based on Albert Avenue in the city, set young people design projects, introducing design, creativity, and enterprise to all ages. They are calling on businesses and good people like you to support the ‘Design a Dinosaur‘ project by sponsoring them and allowing them to give these young people the opportunity to be part of a great creative initiative.

designdinoposterThe ‘Design a Dinosaur‘ project will take young people aged 7 – 10 years through a series of workshops and challenges, exploring different aspects of the design process. The project begins with a ‘Recruitment Day‘ from 10am at Dinostar this Saturday 12th December to sign up and take part in the ‘Audition Activity‘.

During the following week Creative Briefs will select six aspiring young designers to join a special design team, where the lucky six will take the lead in designing and building a brand new exhibit for the Dinostar museum. Right now there are pupils from Primary Schools, Youth Clubs and Organisations all waiting to take part: all hopeful to be selected for the final six to join the design team.

Just £30 supports three young people on the programme. For More Details on how to Donate go to:  http://www.creativebriefs.co.uk/dinostar-1/

For each £30 donated the sponsor will receive:

Plus a special ‘thank you’ mention across social media platforms

dinologosThis is a really great opportunity for any creative young people in Hull, to take ownership of a project, to instill a sense of pride, and to see their ideas taken seriously and implemented in a real museum.

Please, help make this project as great as it can be. We’re not letting this funding setback stop us going forward, but with your help it can be even better.” Rebecca & Jason at Creative Briefs.

This initiative is supported by Kids in Museums encouraging more young people to visit and take an active role in developing the museum experience for the next generation.
